According to the “Credit Card Security Guidelines” compiled by the Japan Credit Card Association, PIN bypass transactions, in which a customer’s identity is authenticated by signature without entering a PIN, will be prohibited from April 2025.
Therefore, we would like to ask for your understanding that customers will be required to enter their PIN when using a credit card after April 2025.
Please note that if an incorrect PIN is entered repeatedly, the credit card may be deactivated to prevent unauthorized use.
Also, please understand that we may ask you to confirm your PIN number with your credit card company in advance, or we may suggest other payment methods.
